This year, I thought I would set myself a challenge with Black and White/Monochrome photography as this is something that I haven’t really explored much before. Colour being very much at the forefront of what I do creatively.
I entered my first Black and White competition – The Exposure One Awards. Photographer of The Year 2026 as there are a number of different categories that you can enter, one of my interests being nature and creative nature photography so I was delighted to find out that 3 of my images had been shortlisted and nominated by the panel of judges of which nominated images also get automatically entered into the Peoples Vote Awards.

My nominated images are below with the links to the Peoples Vote Awards Gallery. Of course it would be lovely if you would like to vote on any of my images, there are many fabulous black and white images by the photographers and it feels humbling to be among such talent that this Global Competition showcases from around the world.

Whatever the outcome of this competition, it’s been great to be included and I am looking forward to exploring more work creatively with Monochrome photography.
Best wishes
