I was delighted to have been contacted by the property manager for the National Trust Holiday Cottages for West Dorset and Wiltshire with an interesting project and commission of framed fine art prints for the walls of the hall/snug room and the larger living/dining room of Shedbush Farmhouse, a 17th Century farmhouse in an idyllic setting on the Golden Cap Estate at Morcombelake in Dorset.

Shedbush Farmhouse was undergoing some refurbishment and updating of the soft furnishings and the brief was to provide work which had a strong connection to the local area, which could also work with new colours of the soft furnishings and with a 17th Century farmhouse steeped in history and character, whilst also bringing the wall art up to date. There was a deadline for the professional interior photographer for early February 2026 for the updated images for the National Trust website.

I am happy to say that all went well for the photography and Pam (National Trust) was very pleased with the result, as was I. Thanks to Pam for involving me with this special property. The farmhouse is a very beautiful and inviting space for guests to relax.

Thank you to Art & Beyond for completing the conservation style framing in a beautiful solid natural oak which complimented the beams and oak floors/furniture within the farmhouse really well and to Mark (Art and Beyond printing) with the large size printing. If you are looking for a comfortable stay in an historic farmhouse, situated on the Golden Cap Estate in Dorset with various walks around the surrounding area then Shedbush Farmhouse is a super holiday property and a great base to explore what Dorset has to offer. There is also a lovely farmshop called Felicity’s at Morcombelake which is a very short drive away with a cafe and also stocks various local produce. Wishing the National Trust a great Season ahead and the guests many happy memories at this location.
